What this site is
IndieRates is a small editorial site about video games, with a focus on indie titles on PC. We publish scored reviews, keep a public ranking of what we have already covered, follow upcoming releases, and list Steam discounts only for games we have reviewed. The site launched in June 2026.
We are not a news wire, a trailer dump, or a storefront. If a page exists here, it should help someone decide whether a game is worth their time or money.
Who writes
Copy is written and edited by the IndieRates desk — a one-person editorial project. There is no newsroom of dozens of staff and no unsigned “content farm”. Contact for press and corrections is [email protected] (English: [email protected]).
What we cover
Mostly indie games, plus a larger title when it still fits the beat. We look at the loop, the feel, the length, and the rough edges. We do not publish walkthroughs, cheat lists, or uncritical store copy.
How scores work
Every review ends with a score out of 10, plus pros, cons, and a short verdict. The number has to match the text: a 9 is rare; a 6 is a mixed game that still has a reason to exist.
Languages
The site is in Spanish and English. Spanish is the original desk language; English pages are translations of the same reviews, not a second set of opinions.
Independence
IndieRates is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, or the studios we cover. Store links go to the official Steam page. Covers and in-game shots come from public Steam assets and are used to illustrate the review. We accept review keys when a studio sends them; the score does not change because a key arrived.
